For more than 30 years, Essential Turbines has delivered the turbine power operators rely on every day. Founded in 1993 and built on hands-on expertise, Essential Turbines has grown from a family-run MRO shop in Montreal to a globally trusted provider serving customers across five continents.
What hasn’t changed is our commitment to quality, responsiveness, and relationships. When you call Essential Turbines, you reach a technician, not a call center. When your engine arrives, it’s cared for by the same team that’s been setting performance standards in Rolls-Royce turbine support for decades.
OUR Story
From Family Roots to Global Reach.
Essential Turbines was founded by Mike Gutner Sr., a longtime Rolls-Royce instructor and shop manager who believed operators deserved an MRO partner as reliable as the mission they flew. Together with his son, he built Essential Turbines on personal accountability and uncompromising standards. A culture that remains at the company’s core today.
In 2024, Essential Turbines joined Swift Anchor Holdings, combining its trusted legacy with the resources to expand internationally while preserving its small-team responsiveness. Many of the original technicians still work here today, bringing 20-plus years of experience to every build. That consistency, power delivered through expertise and protected by quality, is what defines Essential Turbines today.
